Crafting and art have both been a part of my life since my school days, if not before. Some of
my fondest memories from growing up involve crafting with my mother and the other women
from our small community. The joy of making something beautiful with my hands always
thrilled me, and I couldn’t wait to display it for everyone to see. As I grew up, this love of
creating didn’t go away, and I was more than excited to share it with my own kids the same way
my mother had shared it with me.

Lily Trading Company was born out my love of creating. When the world shut down due to
Covid-19, I found myself in the same situation as people everywhere. Stuck inside, desperate
for something to make the time go by. Thankfully, I had just received a Cricut machine as a gift
in 2019, and I set to crafting up a storm. But I ran into a problem, I didn’t have enough
storage for all of my new supplies. That’s when I turned to the world of online auctions. I soon
found a few dressers, and once they arrived, I got to work making them over and I fell in love
once again. I loved the way it felt to take something that had once been beautiful and give it
the love and care it needed to shine again. And with that love, an idea sparked in my head and
Lily Trading Company was born.

Alongside my husband and two wonderful kids, we take in furniture and other items that have lost their shine, and
help them become a beautiful part of someone’s home. I named Lily Trading Company after my
mother’s favorite flower, the Lily of the Valley, in memory of the passion she instilled in me.
